Why have I been charged for a ticket when my credit/debit card was not authorised for payment?

Why have I been charged for a ticket when my credit/debit card was not authorised for payment?

If your credit/debit card is declined during the authorisation stage, your bank may have already 'reserved' the value of the ticket. Although your bank will cancel the transaction after a few days, it may appear on your credit card or bank statement. Please contact your bank directly in such circumstances as this is not something within our control.
